Products
AN Tool & Die was established in 1948 to meet the demand for high-end specialty or niche-market stamped electrical laminations with extremely tight tolerances. Our competitive prototyping, short run or production stampings meet the most stringent quality benchmarks for the most exacting applications in defense, aerospace, medical and bio-mechanical as well as commercial/industrial markets. Our reliable, long-life and efficient parts perform in motors, servos, synchros, resolvers, gyros, for instrumentation and guidance and more.
We offer premium quality AC Motor Laminates that are fabricated from best quality materials, ensuring long life and durability.
The Die Service Department is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all production dies. There is no charge for die service or repair of a customer owned die as long as it was first manufactured and remains in the possession of AN Tool & Die.
Your lamination prototype is in good hands with the experts at AN Tool & Die. For over six decades, we have provided design engineers fast prototyping services in a wide range of industries and applications. We effectively communicate your project status through every step of the prototype cycle. Our manufacturing operations are designed for maintaining fast turn-around and expedited delivery
Motor & Generator OEM
With over 6 decades in the Electrical Apparatus Industry, AN Tool & Die is your motor lamination partner of choice. Our sales and engineering staff will assist you in customizing a manufacturing solution using Lamination Stamping or Rotary Notching.
Production Manufacturing Services
Once your prototype achieves functionality, efficiency and quality, our manufacturing centers can quickly and cost effectively scale-up production to high-volume runs. We will help you determine the best manufacturing process available for your project, and assist in tailoring a customized manufacturing solution using our Lamination Stamping manufacturing method.
We work with the following types of materials: Steel, (.014 - .035 thickness), Nomex, Copper, Brass and Plastic (G9, G10, etc.)
Process
All processes are run manually under the supervision of expert craftsmen with over 35 years of company experience. Progressive tool and automatic notching capabilities are also available depending on the needs of our customers.
Automatic notching is the answer to your short-run lamination needs. By producing your laminations on our high precision automatic notching presses, we are capable of meeting your short run needs. This is especially important in prototype situations where creating a permanent die would not be feasible.
The tooling cost for our automatic notching presses represents a substantial savings over the more expensive and time-consuming process used in making progressive or permanent dies, thus keeping your tooling cost to a minimum.
Since there is much less time spent on tooling for our automatic notching presses, we can deliver your order of finished laminations much more quickly.
Today’s advanced technology has led to much greater accuracy and is reflected in our automatic notching presses. AN Tool & die applies these advanced tooling techniques to your specific needs to ensure the most accurate product possible.
Our automatic notching presses enable us to produce laminations ranging in size from 1/2” to 12” in diameter, giving us the capability to meet almost any design requirement you may have.
Equipment
The majority of our work is performed on custom designed punch presses and patented notching machines. Our experienced machine operators perform routine maintenance and calibration to ensure the highest quality of products for our customers.
We have built special chutes which enable us to neatly stack laminations on rigid wires as they come from the press. We build notching dies and are equipped to make short runs on our notching press. Progressive dies are precision cut using Wire EDM, making needed repairs simple and easy.
Consider how using our equipment, facility and experienced staff can save you time and money.
Your primary production no longer has to be stopped or slowed down while you wait for necessary laminations. You simply let us retain the dies we manufacture for you. We can then handle your lamination jobs – from acquisition of material to the actual production and delivery to your door.
Most standard materials are always in our stock and can be slit to use on your dies. Short runs account for a large percentage of our production.
You have the best kind of insurance against trouble when you let us retain the dies we build for you. We assume full responsibility and give 100% maintenance on dies built by us. Think carefully of these advantages and you will see that allowing us to produce your laminations after we build your dies is a safe and sure way to increase production for your factory.
Since its inception, AN Tool & Die has proudly delivered extremely low rejection rates due in large part to dedication and attention to detail by its long time machine operators.
